Passports With Purpose: Travel Bloggers Give Back
This is just a quick note to let you know about something I think many of you might be interested in – it’s a way to give back to a really cool charity and possibly win something fun for yourself in the process. Passports With Purpose is a fundraiser for Heifer International, but it’s an raffle-style fundraiser where you get more chances to win the great travel prizes with every donation you make. Talk about a win-win situation…
Passports With Purpose is the collaborative effort of the Seattle travel bloggers behind Delicious Baby, Nerd’s Eye View, WanderMom, and Wanderlust and Lipstick – and they’ve recruited a whole host of other great travel bloggers from all over the place to contribute an incredible list of travel goodies for the fundraiser. Each entry costs $10, and some of the prizes that are up for grabs are a 3-night stay in Waikiki, a $100 hotel gift card, a cooking class and dinner for four in New York, a Flip video camera, a $200 ExOfficio shopping spree, a portable solar charger, an Eagle Creek duffel bag, Lonely Planet books, world music CDs… And the list goes on. Browse the entire list of prizes and I defy you to not find at least a few things you’re interested in.
So, how do you get in on the act? Simply go to the Passports With Purpose page on FirstGiving and then buy a $10 raffle ticket (or several!) for each prize you’re interested in. The raffle ends on December 29 when the organizers will draw the names of the winners for each prize. I hope you find something on the prize list worth buying a ticket for, and then I wish you the best of luck in getting your prize! Either way, however, it’s a great feeling knowing that you’re helping such a good cause. Well done, Passports With Purpose!
